The line-up for this event consists of multiple Billboard-charting artists with current airplay on the XM Sirius smooth jazz channel Watercolors. The instrumentation for the Christmas show is designed to engage and entice, provide dynamics, and allow for a truly unique musical experience. The All-Stars for this event are Willie Bradley on Trumpet, David Bach on Piano, Drew Davidsen on Guitar, Elliot Levine on Hammond organ and synthesizer, the triple-sax attack of Rob Maletick, Eddie Baccus, Jr., and Danny Kusz; Swiss Chris on drums, and Curtis McCain and Jesus Gonzalez on percussion. And making her debut at BBJ is guest vocalist Lindsey Webster.
These talented artists will charm and fascinate the audience with musical abilities that are beyond compare.

Christian “Big New York” de Mesones has been playing bass guitar for over 30 years. He was only 18 years old when he graduated from the world famous Bass Institute of Technology (now the Musician’s Institute) in Hollywood, California where he had the opportunity to study and workshop with greats such as Abe Laboriel, Louis Johnson, Tim Bogart, Howard Alden, Steve Morse, Pat Metheny, and the late Tommy Tedesco and Ray Brown. By personal request from visiting guitar faculty member and legendary jazz guitarist Pat Martino, he performed an original composition for his graduation ceremony.

Christian "Big New York" de Mesones is excited to participate in the Virginia Bass Forum's clinic series for a second time. He will be presenting "Slap Happy" - building grooves using various right and left hand techniques.
He will be sharing his personal approach to the old thumb and pluck, using various examples including altered tunings, palm muting, double stops, hammer ons and lift offs, ghost notes, and left and right hand slaps.
All who attend are invited to participate by writing their own grooves with the information shared! Drum loops in various genres will be provided, so expect to learn, share and have FUN!!
